Dubai – Mubasher: Careem, a ride-hailing company in the Middle East, has closed a deal to acquire RoundMenu, a food delivery and reservation website, the UAE-based transportation company stated on Sunday. 

Uber’s rival in the region announced that it will carry out food delivery services via the website for a trial month, Reuters reported.

“RoundMenu has raised $3.1 million in funding since it launched in 2012,” Careem said in a statement, according to the international news agency. 

RoundMenu operates in many countries in the Arab world, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt, Careem noted, giving no further details on the value of the deal.
